About

My name is Brian Mullen and I’m a senior software engineer for Zygo Corporation where I develop mainly in C# using WPF/MVVM and WCF.  You can contact me at Brian (at) formatexception.com.

Views and opinions expressed here do not necessarily reflect those of my employer, 🙂

Notes on licensing:
I often post code here that is my original work. Sometimes the code is either directly from an answer on http://stackoverflow.com or derived from an answer. I try to point out any code from SO by including the link from which I got the code. Sometimes, however, that code is of a derivative nature (like in my series on SOLID where I had several C# examples that derived from Uncle Bob’s C++ examples contained in his white papers on SOLID). Code that is of a derivative nature I try and source the original author.

Unless explicitly stated, original works contained on formatexception.com are considered licensed under the Microsoft Public License (MS-PL). Though I’m no lawyer (so don’t take this as legal advise), my understanding of the MS-PL is in line with this answer from SO.

Derivative works should be considered under the license to which they originated from.

If there is any code contained here that you feel I have in anyway violated a license or copyright, please contact me at the email above.

And thanks for reading 🙂
Brian
